It has been announced today that, as part of Hampshire County Council’s public health authority area, Basingstoke and Deane will be in tier two – high alert from 00:01 on Wednesday 2 December.

This is for areas with a higher or rapidly rising level of infections, where some additional restrictions need to be in place – a useful overview is attached.

The council’s webpage at www.basingstoke.gov.uk/coronavirus has been updated with the latest information and officers are working through the implications for our services and support for the community and businesses.

The government website has a full list of tiers for areas across the country.
