Whilst we currently have 1 mobile unit and 6 trained volunteers who will randomly check the speeds of traffic across the estate, we need further volunteers to do this effectively, and also further liaison with the police who will guide us on suitable locations for the volunteers to monitor traffic speeds.

In the meantime, we have purchased 20 is plenty signs, and children crossing signs thanks to a grant from Elaine Still, our Hampshire County Councillor.  These signs have been located along Rockbourne Road, and Cufaude Lane where the majority of speeding, and road crossing occurs.

We are investigating the purchase of further electronic units that can be attached to lampposts, and which will provide us with data to get further traffic calming measures across the estate, and a survey is being conducted by Hampshire County Council to see traffic flows and direction.
