Having first arrived at Sherfield Park in 2004 as the very first resident, and then moving away between 2018-2020, I am very pleased to have returned in March 2020 and am delighted to be your newest Councillor as of January 2021. I never cease to be amazed at the level and depth of community spirit, camaraderie and friendliness at Sherfield Park so this is a great opportunity for me to play a role in furthering that as part of the Parish Council.
My professional life has seen me for the past 34 years in the IT and tech sector and, prior to that, as a Navigating Officer and Captain in the Merchant Navy (you may see my Red Ensign flying proudly from my house on Sherfield Park). I have a particular interest in helping children and their parents and carers stay safe online and have 15 years’ experience of delivering online safety sessions in schools all across the UK as an Ambassador for CEOP. I play guitar in a band (or at least I did before lockdown) and have performed at Sherfest twice in the past. I’m married with 4 adult children and my wife and I now live a short distance from the Community Centre.
